Ciudadanos Mula reproaches the mayor who does not launch his social initiatives despite his approval in Plenary (23/01/2019)

The training regrets that the Government team halts the implementation of the Accessibility Plan, the Disability Table or the adaptation of the play areas and tourist and cultural resources

"No progress has been made, the PSOE seems not to be interested in improving the lives of neighbors, especially the disabled," says local spokeswoman, Toņi Salcedo

Citizens has reported that the government team "keeps paralyzed our social initiatives, despite being approved in plenary."

This has been explained by the spokesman of the municipal group, Toņi Salcedo, who has given as an example the development of an Accessibility Plan or the creation of the Disability Table, in which all the groups, organizations and associations of the sector should be represented. .

Salcedo has also denounced that the adaptation of the game zones and the tourist, cultural and bibliographic resources to people with disabilities "is still paralyzed by the mayor's inaction".

"Despite its approval in Plenary, nothing has been advanced in the Disability Table except for a first meeting more than a year ago, which shows that the PSOE government team is not interested in making life easier for groups. of disabled people ", said Salcedo.

The spokeswoman of the municipal group has set as an example "the number of pedestrian crossings, access to sidewalks and various elements that complicate the day to day and the mobility of the collective".

Toņi Salcedo has demanded that the government team "act at once, not to delay the issue any longer and take seriously the problems that day to day suffer in our municipality."

In his opinion, "another legislature has been lost without at least laying the foundations that would make our city a more friendly and accessible place for all.

And every day we see how pedestrian steps are painted, new elevations are made or urban elements are placed without taking into account or thinking about the group with disabilities. "

The spokeswoman believes that the actions are carried out "without prior study and bypassing the basic rights contained in the different laws and regulations in this regard, which for us is an incomprehensible and devastating situation."
