Mula has a new center for the attention of victims of gender violence (28/02/2019)

The new specialized center for victims of gender-based violence (CAVI) in Mula will be the center of reference for the women of Albudeite, Campos del Río and Pliego who need assistance derived from mistreatment.

The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, inaugurated the new CAVI that was launched last month and that for nine years has been a point of specialized attention (PAE).

Now it is extended with the figure of a social worker, a psychologist and a full-time legal adviser and has an investment by the regional government of 88,000 euros during 2019.

Tomás explained that this new CAVI joins the network of resources for women who have been mistreated "is included in the Regional Pact on Gender Violence, and demonstrates the commitment of the regional government to the eradication of violence against women and attend them in the most complete way possible. "

He added that "we have a network of 22 CAVI distributed throughout the region to provide assistance without delay to women who need it, in addition to having a specialized center for women victims of sexual abuse or aggression (CAVAX) that has a staff highly specialized. "

So far this year, the CAVI de Mula has served 36 women with whom 51 social, psychological or legal interventions have been made.

In total in the Region, during the month of January, 181 women went to one of these specialized centers that have a budget of more than 2,300,000 euros.
