The judicial parties of Caravaca and Mula can now process free justice applications for their inhabitants (15/11/2019)

The Murcia Bar Association, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, today inaugurated the Legal Guidance Service in this city that will allow a free approach to citizens and speeding up the processing of applications and designation of professionals with the objective of favoring the right to effective judicial protection.

Thus, the inhabitants of the judicial party of Caravaca de la Cruz who intend to litigate for free may formalize their applications for free justice at the Municipal Employment, Training and Equality Center every Friday from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.

In this space, they will be attended by lawyers from the Legal Guidance Service who will also cover the attention of the applicants of the judicial party of Mula.

The implementation of this service has also had the collaboration of the Dean Court of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest and the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Mula River.

All this in order to speed up the granting of the benefit of free legal assistance and the appointment of professionals, which benefits the Administration of Justice and all citizens.

The inauguration of this service has been attended by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, and the vice-dean of the Murcia Bar Association, Maravillas Hernández, as the main authorities.

The deputy of the Murcia Bar Association, Cristina García, the dean judge of the Judicial Party of Caravaca de la Cruz, Antonio Ramos Valverde, and the councilors of the City Council of Caravaca, Mónica Sánchez and Isabel López, as well as attorneys and lawyers have also attended of the judicial party and social services.

Free legal justice and ex officio shift

Free legal assistance is a public service that guarantees access to justice on equal terms to those who lack the financial resources to litigate, while the ex officio shift is the system through which the bar associations proceed to appoint lawyers to those who need legal defense, being free for those who prove they lack financial resources.
