In the first weeks of contact between the Federation and this Department, the interest and the need that both parties, federation and town hall, clearly appreciated with the objective of improving and enhancing, more if possible, the Mula carnival parade were clearly manifested.
At that point and studying those aspects of the parade that were most susceptible to improvement, a huge work was carried out by the federation in search of solutions to the problems raised.
From the Department, historically, the opinion, contributions and constructive criticism have been taken into account that from the troupes, protagonists of our great carnival, have made, always giving participation to these, unlike other municipalities where all decisions are they take unilaterally by the City Council.
But from this City Council, historically, it has always been wanted to count on the contribution of the different groups and, obviously, it is in our spirit to continue in that line of action.
After more than four months of work by the Federation of Comparsas and taking into account all its contributions, the parade of this Carnival 2020, which in a few weeks we will enjoy, will have significant changes compared to previous editions, always with the ultimate goal of embellishing the parade and making both the participants and the large audience enjoy the best conditions;
of space, vision, security and with a parade oriented to solve those aspects that need to be improved so that our carnival can meet the necessary conditions that require the declaration of Regional Tourist Interest, a shared objective of both the Federation and the City of Mula , and that without a doubt would mean for our beautiful city, another incentive, so that the development and the tourist promotion crosses the borders of our Region, and echoes in the national scope.
It is true that when changes occur, uncertainty and fear of failure or error are generated, but we would like to praise the courage of the Federation to make risky but sure decisions.
Despite the rumors and alarm that in some sectors are running through our city, from the City Council we would like to make a call to calm, understanding, respect for the work done and to show unity, despite the failures or errors that may have been commit, according to criteria.
We are convinced that the intention has been the best.
Only the union and the entire collaboration between the different groups will make the work that they carry out with great effort for months look that day with the dignity that each and every one deserve
of them.
The tension and rumorology will only encourage comments and attitudes that will harm the final work that with so much effort the members of each company have been using.
The mistakes that have been made will be learned so that they do not happen again and the next edition improves.
Now what it is to join, enjoy and expose all the muleños, muleñas and visitors the great quality of comparsas that our municipality has, which year after year reap numerous awards wherever they go, both in our Region, as in Spain and internationally , where our comparsas are also recognized and praised, the result of the extraordinary work done.
In the official presentation of the Carnival 2020 will be announced in more detail all the changes of this year: tour, guest groups from other locations, competition, decoration, involvement of shops, among others.
We reiterate once again the gratitude to the work that the board of directors of the Federation of Comparsas has done in recent years and to show each of the Muleño groups the commitment of this government team to collaborate and work with all so that your particular work and the Muleño Carnival in general reach great successes.
Cheer up with the final sprint, there is no doubt that an exciting carnival awaits us !!
