The Mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno and the Councilor for Tourism, Alejandra Martínez, held a meeting yesterday, by videoconference, with the Director of Tourism of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Juan Francisco Martínez.The meeting requested the collaboration of the ITREM for the implementation of the Tourism Promotion Plan, the importance of promoting inland tourism, the implementation of the declarations of regional tourist interest that the City Council has requested.The mayor informed him of the transfer of the celebration of the V Centennial of the Castle to 2021, where we ask him to maintain his financial commitment for its promotion.In addition, the alderman of the municipal consistory made reference to a very clarifying fact of the significant escalation experienced by local tourism in the last four years.
The municipality of Mula has gone from having fifteen hundred to fifteen thousand visits related to rural, cultural, heritage, active or sports tourism, as well as leisure activities carried out in Mula and its region.
Hence, as the Councilor of the tourist area in the Mula City Council, Alejandra Martínez, pointed out, the importance of the municipality of Mula for Rural Tourism in the Region of Murcia, finding us in the heart of the Region of Murcia.The Director of the Tourism Institute, Juan Francisco Martínez, showed his total collaboration to carry out this ambitious Plan by the Mula City Council, so important for the development and economic future of Mula and its Region.
