The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cacho, met this morning with members of the community of irrigators Fuente Librilla Mula, to address the implementation of actions aimed at improving the water infrastructure of the village .
The Ministry will study two deconstruction of a regulating dam projects with a capacity of 80,000 cubic meters, executed with a slope of loose material and waterproofed with geomembrane HDPE 1.5 mm and covered with evaporation reduction system.
The other project is planned to analyze, with an estimated investment of 800,000 euros budget, it is a piping system output power and 250 mm diameter HDPE.
The community of irrigators Fuente Librilla covers an irrigable area of ​​313 hectares and has de235.858 cubic meters of water a year concession, representing an allocation of 754 cubic meters of water per hectare per year.
Their farms are essentially intended for citrus crops (36 percent), apricot (36 percent) and the rest almonds and vegetables.
