The Museum of Iberian Art Mula Cigarralejo inaugurated the photographic exhibition this afternoon'Raíles verdes' (28/09/2016)

The Museum of Iberian Art Mula Cigarralejo, under the Ministry of Culture and Spokesman, today (19:00) inaugurated the photography exhibition 'green rails', a project of the Consortium of Greenways Murcia within their program 'Revitalisation and value of Greenways of the region, which is being conducted in collaboration with the Community and different municipalities.

'Green Rail' is a traveling exhibition that is touring the towns through which passes the Northwest Greenway.

It has been organized to mark the 83 anniversary of the inauguration of the railway line linking Murcia to Caravaca de la Cruz and "allow visitors through old photos, see first hand the history of the railroad and its transformation into the current ecotourism infrastructure, "said the director general of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas.

The Northwest Greenway is a natural way of 76.8 kilometers designed for non-motorized users was created using the old tight layout and during which several stations have been recovered as shelters.

The route from Murcia to the garden and pilgrim by lunar landscapes or badlands along the Mula river.

In the highlands of Northwest, visitors discover the pine forests and almond trees framing charming villages, to finally reach the holy city of Vera Cruz, Caravaca.

In the Museum of Cigarralejo, the photographic exhibition 'green Rails' will be open during this week and the schedule will be, until Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours, and Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 14:00.

Other activities

Maria Comas moved that "with this exhibition, the Museum of Iberian Art Cigarralejo Mula opens the program for the last quarter of the year, during which will also be exhibited, from November, the works by the participants of the workshops adults who organized this museum since 2008, and a selection of pictures that show the career of a painter Madrid Paloma Hernandez Square ".

"Conferences, book presentations, excursions and numerous workshops organized in collaboration with schools for children to discover our heritage and learn to keep it complete the varied program designed for Museum Cigarralejo" added the director general of Cultural Property.
