24 young people from Spain, Poland, France, Turkey and Taiwan participating in the International Labor Camp Mula (05/08/2010)

The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the councilman of Youth Mula, José Angel, today visited the 24 young people involved in international work camp Mula archeology is done in the late-villa Villaricos Roman.

Volunteers from different countries in Europe and Asia, such as Spain, France, Poland, Turkey and Taiwan.

This year the work camp celebrates its fifteenth edition, and takes place from 2 to 16 August and for fifteen days, the volunteers will carry out digging, cleaning and inventory of materials removed during excavation at the site Villaricos late Roman and as knowledge of the most important archaeological sites in the region of Mula and its relationship with the excavation.

Veronica Lopez said that "labor camps encourage cultural exchange and coexistence among young people through specific activities that take place in the archaeological and related to the culture of the Murcia Region."

They have also organized cultural and leisure activities such as beach trips, tours of various municipalities in the region such as Murcia, Cartagena and Archena plus workshops of physical expression and visual arts.

For the year 2010, the Summer Youth Institute Youth earmarked 419,000 euros, 47,000 euros to the Fund brings Mediterranean.

Other partners are the youth councils of the municipalities where they develop the various camps and labor camps.
