Public Works will clear a stretch of concentration of accidents in the region of Río Mula (08/08/2010)

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, remove a section of concentration of accidents in the region of the Mula River, specifically at the intersection of variant Mula (RM-516, which connects the Puebla and El Niño de Mula) with the passage of the locality (T-415).

This work, which is in the process for engagement, will regulate access to the town of Mula and has a tender budget of 786,601 euros.

Has a period of four months for implementation.

According Guijarro, this is a project beneficial to both improvements in road safety by injecting public capital into the local economy, which create jobs and revitalization. "

The new roundabout will be located in the area known as La Palma and Trascastillo Alto, represents an improvement of security conditions in the area, which will replace the current intersection by a circular island with a six-foot sidewalk width which will minimize the risk of accidents.

It is envisaged that access to the new roundabout to be performed by two lanes from four meters each, from the RM-516 road, rail and five yards from the crossing T-415.

In both cases there will be berms of 1 and 0.5 m wide on the outside and inside of the roundabout, which will be accessed by specific signs of giving way.

Finally, the general director said the refinish integral to all renewing road markings and signage "will help improve the driving environment."

Furthermore, remodeling the lighting in the area "will enhance driving safety during the night strip."
