Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration, Anna Terron, has seen firsthand the innovative projects carried out by the Commonwealth of Social Services Mula River, funded by the Ministry of Immigration and Emigration through the General Directorate of Integration Immigrants.
The event also involved the president of the Commonwealth of Social Services and Mayor of Rio Mula Mula, Diego Cervantes Diaz.
The integration of immigrants has always been a priority for the Government, being one of the four pillars of a comprehensive immigration policy launched in 2004.
Therefore, since 2007, there is a Strategic Plan for Citizenship and Integration (PECI), within which are framed, among many other initiatives, grants to local entities to develop innovative programs that work for integration.
These actions facilitate social inclusion, prevent risk and promote citizen participation in the towns and cities where they thrive.
Therefore, the Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration Mula has insisted on the importance of collaboration between the Government and the consistory to strengthen social cohesion, especially in times of economic crisis.
For Lump, the local environment is key to talk of coexistence, and insists that a fundamental goal of public action should be the coordination and cooperation to solve problems that affect the daily lives of residents.
