10.11.11 The Department of Social Services Mula City Council has launched a solidarity campaign to collect food and clothing.
The objective of this campaign is to inform citizens of the work done by the Social Volunteer Group in managing Mula Food Bank and municipal wardrobe.
The number of families in need of basic food and clothing Mula has increased in recent months due to the situation where the market is working and has led many families to rely on social assistance to survive.
The campaign, which mainly focus on schools, colleges and schools of Mula, aims to raise public awareness through school youth and the need to work on this project and be aware that any person may need at any time social aid.
Social Volunteer Group will be responsible for providing talks and information to schools and getting basic inputs such as oil, pulses, sugar, hygiene products, baby diapers ... that currently lacks the Food Bank and presented the work
engaged in an altruistic way of food and clothing distribution and management of existing resources.
It has also established a weekly day year round on Wednesdays from 17 to 20 hours on low Multipurpose Building (next to the bus station), so that all citizens who wish to collaborate by providing food, clothing and other products such as household linen (blankets, sheets), baby equipment (carts, cribs), orthopedic or household furniture.
Useful not needed and can be very helpful for people who are currently unable to purchase on their own.
