President Valcárcel inaugurates new space dedicated to the work of FCG in the house painted Mula (19/09/2012)

The foundation for the research and promotion of art renews the permanent collection of the painter and includes new rooms dedicated to the work of young artists

The head of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, Mula opened today in the exhibition project dedicated to the figure of FCG local artist, including the new permanent collection of the Museum Foundation Painted House-FCG (FCP).

The President toured the new facilities accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, by the painter that names the museum and the mayor of Mula, José Iborra, among others.

This space dedicated to the figure of the artist Mulenen FCG opens with a room dedicated to temporary exhibitions and monthly by young artists, and, on this occasion, including those selected in the Call for the 2012 Emerging Artists Foundation.

The new permanent collection, distributed in several rooms, public displays of the artist's work, as the monumental sculptures exhibited in various cities around the world, along with other pieces and paintings never previously used in the region, carried out by the author's experiments materials such as canvas, clay, fiberglass, iron and paper.

Similarly, you can see a series of sculptures of colored glass, and the number of personal images and icons that have become the most characteristic sign of the author and his work over several decades.

Eighteenth Painted House Foundation hosts the account from now with new information point for visitors and the student of the artist's work Mulenen, using five computers available to provide more information about the activities and publications different locations of the FCG (New York, Valladolid, Barcelona and Mula), as well as exhibitions of the artist all scattered around the world.

Since June 2005, the Painted House Museum hosts the FCG, an institution dedicated to display and study the work of international artist born in Mula.

This foundation aims to research and promotion of contemporary art, with special emphasis on emerging considered, through an extensive program of exhibitions, scholarships, seminars, courses and conferences.
