The 60 percent of exports from the region come from the food industry
The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, this week visited the new premises of the company 'Hida Food', located in Mula, which position this company as "high tech reference" national production and marketing of products made for direct consumption.
Cerda said the company Murcia, which emerged in 1954, "provides consumers high quality products" and stressed that its new facilities "are leading technology for its high level and rigorous quality control."
Responsible for Agriculture said Hida "is among the best brands in the domestic food industry" and noted that throughout its production process "premium quality and traceability, as well as applying the results of research to offer new products."
Hida Food is specialized in the production of Murcia, mostly fried and tomato gazpacho, zarangollo, onions, ratatouille and pumpkin, and green products.
Cerda said his offer "from a good selection of raw material foot field for further processing."
The Hida group employs a hundred workers and devotes 90 percent of its production to the domestic market, mainly fried tomato.
The ISO14001 certification certifies them as socially responsible to the environment.
The new facilities are located Hida on a plot of 70,000 square meters which is located in a logistics warehouse of 9,600 square meters.
In 2009, the group began Hida craft facilities of the main factory with 12,000 square meters, a sewage treatment plant with capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per day and a storage tank for liquefied gas of 106 cubic meters.
The owner of Agriculture said the regional food industry "is productive, competitive, and investor mainly to adapt its processes and its supply to the market demands."
The regional food industry accounts for 27 percent of GDP is the main industrial and export activity, since 60 percent of total regional exports come from this sector.
