The Government delegate opens the new street lighting and installation of new sidewalks in Librilla Source (08/10/2009)

The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, with the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes Diaz, inaugurated this afternoon the installation of new street lighting and arrangement of the streets of Librilla Source, which has been made under the State Fund Local Investment.

The works have involved a total investment of 179,884 euros together and have created 13 direct jobs.

Funding is full by the Government of Spain, the already transferred 70 percent at the start of work, while the remaining 30 percent will be paid by the Ministry of Planning Policy within one month of the certification completion of work by the City Council.

The works have involved the adequacy of street lighting between the Source Librilla road to Los Ojos to 957 meters along with the installation of 32 lights, underground facility and 2 control panels.

On the other hand, has also undertaken the construction of new sidewalks from the Eyes Source Librilla which consisted of making a pedestrian sidewalk an average width of 2 meters.

Tovar González noted that "it was worth the financial effort that the Government of Spain has to, through this investment, helping create jobs, boost the economy and create the necessary infrastructure at each location."

Source Librilla also being carried out works of adaptation of public school that will include the adequacy in the patio area in the southern part of the school, in the placement of an awning on children's area and repair of toilets and painting .

These works have a budget of 50,000 euros and create 5 new jobs.

Local Investment Fund in Mula

As is known, the Local Investment Fund allocated to the town of Mula 2,932,695.98 euros, which made the twenty selected works that the City Council and which have created 261 jobs, 74 percent more originally planned by the City Council.

It works just as important as the construction of a Multipurpose Municipal Building (€ 999,456.00), the remodeling of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (€ 175,137.36) and the construction of a roundabout par improve urban traffic area at the crossroads of folding and Caravaca (€ 204,999.98).

This is compounded by the management and adequacy of pedestrian routes in the street Juan Antonio Perea (€ 229,680.00) in order to promote sustainable mobility and improving road safety.

Also various works in the sports complex Mula Sports, involving the construction of a new building intended for use in changing rooms and toilets, which will be implemented two changing rooms, materials, multipurpose room, maintenance room, boiler room and toilets in an area of 392 square meters and has a budget of EUR 305,140.22.

On the other hand, are projects like the expansion and reform of the Municipal Cemetery, the adequacy of public schools Source Anita Librilla and Arnao, the adequacy of various local municipal and districts Mula.

And finally, also highlight the adequacy of pedestrian routes to enhance the accessibility of business districts, the adequacy of the Public Schools New Homes, La Puebla de Mula, Yéchar and Santo Domingo-San Miguel, or the construction of walls to sustain slope in the neighborhood of Pontarrón Mule, among others.

González Tovar has highlighted the high degree of compliance with the State Fund in the region and in Mula, as already has paid the initial 70 percent of most projects of the Community and all of Mula and has been paid and the final 30 percent of 17 projects, one of them, the adequacy of Yechida Playground in Mula.
