Homage to the Holy Week of Mula with the opening of monument of the Nazarene (25/03/2010)

Easter Mülenen has an icon more than the grandeur and solemnity of their traditions with the opening procession of the monument of the Nazarene, Cartagena sculptor Juan Jose Quiros, and faithfully representing apparel, passion and feeling of the Nazarene.

The work has been opened by the Mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, who have accompanied himself Juan José Quirós, President of the Supreme council of Holy Week brotherhoods, Sebastian Llamas, the manager of the Foundation Cajamurcia, Pascual Martinez and representatives of the Promoter and Cascales Valero, the latter who have donated the sculpture to the City.

The monument of the Nazarene is composed of two parts to size, an adult and a child, made of bronze and with dimensions of 2.10 and 1.40 on the largest small.

This is the first sculpture of the municipality that is without a pedestal, which has attracted lot of attention from neighbors.

The monument, as stated Quirós, has no other aim but to become a neighbor, talk to people and talk.

The artist himself has defined his work as a sign of tradition to your Easter Mülenen.

In the work of the sculptor more penitent reflects tradition, the forms, the history attached to the freshness, hope and generosity of the girl who, with his face uncovered and his broad smile on the viewer directly in a toast peace.

To Quirós, the image of the girl is a clear reference to life and dialogue, and that "we must not forget that Easter besides being a clear manifestation of faith is a clear manifestation of love and dialogue."

For the sculptor, "this is the clear message of the girl who gives you candy, children are the joy and hope, the illusion of a city, an ancient and noble and, above all, welcoming."

This is the second work is in the municipality Quiros, the first is the Monument to Huertano.

He is currently working on a bust representing that his teacher, José Sánchez Lozano and has a good sample of his work at Easter Mülenen, which march several images of him.
