Mula launches the first municipal service area for campers in the Region (08/05/2010)

The mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, Councillor of Tourism, Ramón Martín-Consuegra and Mobile Association President of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Munuera Giner, inaugurated in Mula's first Municipal Service Area in the Region Motorhomes Murcia.

The area, with availability for the parking of five campers, offering a space for discharging waste water that connects to the municipal sewer, water supply and garbage containers also have information boards on what to visit in Mula and a street plan of the locality.

The service area has been installed on one side of the parking lot of the sports facilities of Mula.

This is the first space for parking and service area that starts in the region outside the private sphere.

In Spain there are over 25,000 registered motor homes and campers about 400,000 visit Spain each year, providing more than 800,000 tourists.

In this sense, the travel routes of the caravans are prepared according to the location of service areas while the campers usually stay between one and three days in that area, most of the time outside the holiday season, representing type of tourism is of great importance to the municipalities through which pass, as the campers are consumers of fuel, catering, food, culture and services.

The opening of the new area in Mula is complemented by a high concentration of mobile homes near a hundred, who will be in town from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 May to coincide with the celebration of the Feast in honor of San Isidro and The Craft Market The 4 Squares.

The campers begin arriving in Mula on Friday from 17:00 pm where they will be stationed at the margins of the road a few meters from the camper area.

At 19:00 will take place the official inauguration of the municipal service area for campers.

After opening the campers will participate in the contest gachasmigas.

Saturday is scheduled to visit the Craft Market, and noon, invite all visitors Mülenen and snacks prepared by themselves, in the parking of motor caravans will be converted into autobarracas.

It is expected that all those campers who are in the Region of Murcia be wearing the regional costume.

In the afternoon, the campers will move to the streets of Mula to enjoy the bounty of the vegetable garden clubs participating in the parade.

On Sunday, participants will visit the concentration Iberian art museums and Christopher Cigarralejo Gabarrón The Fundación Casa Pintada.
