The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Mula, within the framework of the services established for the prevention of citizen security, have developed an operation aimed at locating and arresting the perpetrator of two robberies with violence and intimidation committed in the municipality of Mula, which has resulted in the arrest, in less than two hours of committing the facts, of a person as alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, injury and breach of sentence.
The arrested has been remanded in custody.
Both events took place on public roads, in a short space of time, in broad daylight and on two women of similar ages.
The first victim was approached by an individual while talking on the phone.
The subject distracted her by asking for a direction while, surprisingly, he snatched the mobile phone.
The woman resisted and was dragged more than 15 meters until her attacker managed to grab her cell phone and board a high-end tourism in which she fled the area.
As a result of the violence used by the assailant, it resulted in various injuries to the arms and legs, which required medical attention.
Two hours later, on a nearby street, the same individual, this time from the vehicle he was driving, approached another woman whom he threatened with death if he did not give him money.
The victim fled on foot and took refuge in a nearby commercial establishment.
Immediately, information was gathered about the physical description of the subject and the vehicle in which he had fled and a large police system was organized, made up of agents of the Benemérita and the Local Police.
In less than two hours, the agents located him when he was wandering around the town, for which he was arrested as an alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, one of them in the degree of attempt and injury.
I drove without a license
The detainee also has a suspension of the driving license issued by the Criminal Court number 3 of Murcia, which is also attributed the alleged responsibility for the crime of breach of sentence.
The vehicle has been located, seized and brought to court.
The arrested male, of 48 Spanish and neighbor of Cehegín and the diligences instructed have been placed at the disposal of the Juzgado de Instrucción de guardia de Mula, which has decreed his admission to preventive detention.
