Juan Jesús Moreno, Mayor of Mula, held a meeting yesterday with the Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, in which the Town Planning Councilor, Francisco Javier Llamazares was also present.
In this meeting, the first mayor of Muleño has requested the installation of informative posters, in the access roads to the municipality, in which it is indicated that Mula, through its tamborada, is Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
From the Autonomous Community, the appropriate procedures are being carried out, through the Tourism Institute, for their placement.
The works of adaptation and improvement of the RM-C1 road linking Fuente Librilla and Barqueros has been another of the issues of vital importance discussed at that meeting.
The actions to be carried out on this road will be included in the new community budgets, and it is indicated from the General Directorate that the City Council of Murcia has also been contacted to start the works once the Project is finished.
At this point, the Mayor of Muleño has been very clear and has insisted and stressed that the City Council of Mula has already made all the necessary steps to dispose of the land for the extension, adaptation and improvement of this road, so it continues to reiterate, Once again, the beginning of the works.
Moreno has added that there are four years of promises for the improvement of this road, and that from the Regional Administration it is not possible to continue “not one more minute†without taking measures regarding this matter.
