Campos del Río welcomes Christmas 2019 (13/12/2019)

Various groups and volunteers of the town participate in the activities that will continue throughout the day on Sunday

´Campos del Río welcomes Christmas this Sunday with the celebration of various festive and leisure activities for adults and children.

It highlights the lighting of Christmas lights and the inauguration of the Portal, as well as the celebration of the Christmas Market that will be installed throughout the day on Avenida de la Constitución.

From 11.00 onwards, the traditional Christmas Market will open.

The crafts and typical products will focus a large part of the stalls installed.

During the whole day you can taste the best cuisine through the celebration of the XXI Tapa Route in which the El Paseo Restaurant, the Bolulevard Cafeteria, the Ebony Pub and the Puskas Bar participate with delicious and typical tapas and cocktails Christmas

Various games and workshops have been organized for the little ones.

From 12.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 18.00 hours you can enjoy inflatables installed in the immediate vicinity of the market and a craft workshop where you can prepare your Christmas cards and cards.

During the morning the visit of Santa Claus is planned, who, coming from Lapland, will be installed in the market with his sleigh to collect the children's letters and listen to their requests for these Christmas holidays.

The musical note will come from 4 pm by the Esencia de Calle group that will liven up the evening.

The sweet note will be the associations of Women and Widows who will offer coffee and sweets to all attendees.

At 6:00 pm, the Portal will be inaugurated by the local artist Cuky Abenza who, with recycled material, recreates various scenes from the traditional Portal de Belén.

During the afternoon, in addition, there will be the lighting of Christmas lights on the Avenida de la Constitución that will feature the exhibitions of the dance groups of Almudena and Paqui performing Christmas songs through dance and live music.

In addition, a toy collection point for children from disadvantaged families will be installed throughout the morning.

It will be in the Training Center organized by Cáritas with the collaboration of the City Council.

From the Town Hall they invite all the neighbors and people from other parts of the Region to participate in all the activities for that day and enjoy the magic and spirit of Christmas.
