Mula will host the XXVI Cultural Heritage Days of the Region of Murcia (20/02/2020)

The head of the regional Executive, Fernando López Miras, met today with the mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, to discuss the main issues of interest to the town, including the situation of his castle that this year celebrates its fifth centenary " and that propitiates that this year Mula is one of the venues of the XXVI Cultural Heritage Days of the Region of Murcia ”, according to the Minister of Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting.

"The celebration of the V Centenary of the Castle of Mula will have all the support of the regional government in the actions that will be carried out since it is a symbol that exceeds the municipal interest to become the heritage of all Murcia," said Celdrán, who He explained that, in addition to the Cultural Heritage Days, the municipality will host the exhibition 'La Almoloya, the first parliament in Europe'.

He also referred to the process of reindustrialization of the municipality and explained that "we will work hand in hand to move forward in actions that contribute to attract industrial investments in inland municipalities such as Mula that may have greater depopulation problems in the future."

Celdrán also pointed to the "necessary reform of the regional financing system" for which, he said, "there is a fairly broad consensus that the Region of Murcia needs local and regional administrations to claim together with the central government to solve the problems of under-financing of the Community to be able to solve the problems of under-financing of municipalities ”.
