COMMUNIQUE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF MULA AND THE BROTHERHOOD OF SAN ISIDRO

Given the state of alarm decreed that we are going through and after studying the current situation and the forecast for the following weeks, both the Brotherhood of San Isidro Labrador and the Department of Celebrations and Culture of the Hon.

Ayto. De Mula we are very clear that the priority is people.

These are moments when a sense of responsibility and unity must prevail in the face of the adversity of the moment.

Taking into account the proximity of the dates indicated to start the organization and its subsequent celebration, we have made the unanimous decision to suspend the Spring Festival in Honor of San Isidro 2020;

the gachasmigas contest, barracks and the parade of floats.

For both the Brotherhood and the City Council it has been a difficult decision to make, but it is indisputably necessary.

All together we have to put our effort to overcome this crisis, remain united and follow with discipline the recommendations that the authorities offer us to stand up to COVID-19.

Finally, we want to send a message of encouragement to all citizens at this time and appeal to the understanding of this complex decision.

We are convinced that we will emerge stronger from these moments.
