Meeting with the with the Association of Merchants and Hoteliers of Mula (23/04/2020)

The Mayor-President of the Hon.

City Council of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno García, together with the Councilors, Alejandra Martínez of Finance and Tourism and Alicia Zapata of Commerce and Consumption, have held, today, a meeting by videoconference, with members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Merchants and Hoteliers (ACOHOMUL).This meeting has served for local councilors to explain and comment on the first package of fiscal and economic measures to be carried out and to which sectors belonging to this group can be welcomed, due to the health, social and economic derived from the pandemic of the virus COVID-19.In addition, it has been brought to the attention of said Association, that from the Hon.

Mula City Council is finalizing a second package of measures that will be known and officially published in the coming days.

Some of these measures have already been anticipated to the executive members who have participated in today's meeting, among which the opening of a line of direct financial aid for all those self-employed and companies that have affected their activity due to the virus stands out.

COVID-19The Councilors of tourism and commerce in the City of Mula, Alejandra Martínez and Alicia zapata, agreed in stating that together with ACOHOMUL, they are working on a Local Trade Dynamization Project, of vital importance to the economy of the Municipality, in addition to a Plan for the Promotion and Development of Local Tourism.The Mayor, Juan Jesús Moreno, expressed his wish that this Revitalization Plan should have the necessary financial endowment from the Regional Government's Department of Business and Industry, through the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Crafts, since this it is within your competence."Together with ACOHOMUL, we have valued ideas, proposals and different suggestions with the aim of improving the commerce and hospitality sector, once the state of alarm is over and everything returns to normal, with the corresponding de-escalation," said the municipal councilor, who also wanted to make an appeal to hope “there is no doubt that we are in a complex scenario but I am convinced that soon we will have another perspective and we will find ourselves in another dimension, because with work, unity, cooperation, responsibility and understanding, we will soon get out of this difficult situation.
