The Athletic Veterans Association of Atlético Muleño has allocated the amount of three thousand euros for the acquisition of basic necessities and allocate them to the Municipal Food Program of Mula.

From the Board of Directors of the Association, last week, they contacted the Councilor for Social Policy, Antonia Gabarrón and the Mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, to convey the intention of making this important donation as a solidarity gesture of a whole group that wanted to contribute and collaborate with said Program, being aware of the complicated situation that is taking place in some homes in the Municipality, due to the health, social and economic crisis derived from the worldwide pandemic of the Covid-19 virus.From the Board of Directors they indicated that since this initiative was considered, all the members of the group of veterans showed their predisposition to allocate this important amount of money, as a gesture of solidarity, to those most vulnerable groups in Mula.

"As soon as we have learned that food and products were the most scarce and necessary for said Program, we have contacted different suppliers in the locality to deliver food to municipal facilities as soon as possible and that they could be distributed by the social agents ”, Pointed out from this group, made up of 35 people.For his part, Juan Jesús Moreno, municipal councilor, wanted to have a few words of thanks, on behalf of the entire town of Mula, after this important donation from the Veterans Association.

"Without a doubt, it is a gesture that honors and dignifies them as a collective, since it is a very significant amount destined for the cause and it is a very important relief given the situation that is affecting the most vulnerable sectors of the Municipality," stated the first local mayor, who also wanted to refer to the human quality of this group.

“I have a great affinity with many members of the Veterans Association, as they are very well-known and loved people in the town, in addition to, logically, being linked to the beautiful world of soccer and sports.

Thus,I have to say that this generous donation says a lot about the humanity and sensitivity of these people, as well as their commitment and loyalty to the residents of the Municipality, as there is no doubt that the Muleña society is showing, by far, their generosity and responsibility in this crisis, "concluded the Mayor Muleño.
