The City Council claims to the Hydrographic Confederation the cleaning of the Mula RiverThe Muleño Town Council has reiterated to the Hydrographic Confederation the need to urgently clean the Mula river channel from upstream from La Puebla to downstream from Los Baños de Mula.The large accumulation of reeds poses a risk of flooding with torrential rains and also of fires with high summer temperatures.
To this, neighborhood complaints about the proliferation of mosquitoes that affect the population centers and homes closest to the channel are added, despite the fact that fumigations are carried out periodically.
For this reason, the City Council has once again requested the river basin organization to clean the riverbed and eliminate the reeds and the invasive plant mass, essential works for the recovery of the river's hydraulic capacity.The Councilor for Municipal Services, Vicente López, has informed the request and its processing to the pediatric mayor of Los Baños de Mula, Irene Sánchez.
