Retrieval of documents and archaeological pieces from Mula (13/06/2020)

| Good news on International Archives Day! | The city of Mula recovers an important historical document from the 17th century.

Specifically, it is a manuscript, dated 1636.

It is the appointment of a sheriff of the Villa de Mula de Ginés Galián on January 21, 1636.

This document is a parchment on a sheet of two sheets, written in rectum and verse.

Text framed with beautiful calligraphy, signed by Juan Talabera, secretary and with a paper stamp.With this acquisition, the Municipal Archive of Mula continues with the line drawn to intensify the recovery and enhancement of the cultural, historical and artistic heritage of the city of Mula.The councilor for culture, Diego Boluda, has been satisfied and has announced that work is already underway to recover archaeological works of great importance that have been located and will return to Mula in the coming weeks.

Specifically, it is two pieces, one dating from Roman times and the other medieval, the latter belonging to a very important moment in the history of the Villa.

At the moment, the details of the recovery process are being finalized and the aspects that will make possible the recovery of these historical pieces are being developed.
