| Mula has presented eight proposals for this tourism development and sustainability plan | The mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, together with the head of Tourism in the Mula City Council, Alejandra Martínez, have participated this morning in the first meeting between the municipalities that make up the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña (Alhama de Murcia, Aledo, Totana, Librilla, Pliego and Mula) to establish the guidelines of the Sierra Espuña Territory Plan that has been selected by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism as one of the 25 most outstanding tourism sustainability plans at the national level and through which the municipalities of the commonwealth will receive 2,700,000 euros to develop various projects related to tourism sustainability.Thus, during the meeting, which was held online, the municipalities of Sierra have begun to deal with all the issues related to the implementation of the different projects, for which Mula has presented eight actions.The Mula City Council highlights the effort and involvement shown by the consistories that make up the Commonwealth to establish sustainable projects with a projection of continuing to grow in tourism, one of the fundamental values ??for the revitalization of inland tourism, a clear bet for the arrival of visitors, as has been demonstrated in recent months by its diversity of opportunities and security in situations such as the current health crisis.Among the proposals of the municipality of Mula: adaptation of the municipal hostel to the new regulations for hostels in the Region of Murcia, reform of the Tourist Office, creation of a motorhome area in the hamlet of Casas Nuevas, musealisation and improvement of accessibility to the Los Villaricos site, fitting out, accesses, perimeter fencing and door of the Abrigo del Milano, beautification and homogenization of the urban furniture of the Historic Complex, smart pedestrian tourist signs for the Historic Quarter of Mula and action of the Archaeological Park of Castillo de Mula, Senda del Albacar.
