The Department of Municipal Services is executing the second phase of the Municipal Energy Efficiency Plan with which it seeks to reduce energy consumption and electricity bills, reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, increase light quality and improve and modernize the installations.In this phase, 290 high-pressure sodium vapor and mercury vapor luminaires will be replaced by more efficient LED luminaires and 4 control panels will be updated to adapt them to current regulations.The investment for the execution of this second phase of the Plan is 123,211 euros.
For this purpose, the City Council has received a grant from the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) of 98,569 euros and the municipal contribution will be 24,642 euros.The action focuses on the replacement of the municipal public lighting fixtures in the Cofrusa neighborhood, on a section of Adv.
de la Paz, the Murcia road and the Los Cortijos neighborhood in Fuente Librilla, which will mean an estimated energy saving of 72%, that is, about 25,000 euros per year and a decrease in CO2 emissions to the atmosphere of 70, 54 t / year.
