| The decision has been agreed between the Department of Tourism and Festivities and the Muleñas comparsas | The Mula Carnival 2021 has been suspended.

This has been the decision agreed by consensus, given the current situation, after a meeting between the Department of Tourism and Celebrations, areas that Alejandra Martínez and Alicia Zapata run, respectively, with the municipality's troupes .The meeting was held during the afternoon of this Tuesday and, in view of the situation due to the health crisis, it has been unanimously established that the correct thing was to suspend this celebration given the great implication of it and previous preparations, as well as the agglomeration of people around this activity, one of the most people congregate in the municipality. The City Council, together with the Federation of Comparsas, continues to work from the Tourism and Celebrations councils to strengthen this festival and continue to enhance the great work that all the people who are part of the Carnival have been developing year after year. Both Alejandra Martínez and Alicia Zapata highlighted that “we have a consolidated Carnival celebration.

Every year more than 3,000 muleños and muleñas are involved in making it a reality.

It is for this reason and for the great involvement of both participants and their families that we have reached a consensus that the best decision was to suspend and continue working for this celebration with the greatest enthusiasm ”.
