Llamazares, have held a meeting with the president of the Mancomunidad de Canales del Taibilla, Francisca Baraza, where various aspects related to the municipality have been discussed, some of them that have been sued for years, and that could benefit from the Extraordinary European Fund of Covid-19.Thus, the need to execute the project to renew the drinking water supply system of the Mula branch was demanded, an investment that would amount to 3.3 million euros, an essential action to modernize and guarantee the supply to the citizens of our municipality.
This is a large-scale action that would allow the water to reach the municipality through a pressurized pipeline instead of by gravity as is currently the case.During the meeting, the need to build a new pipeline from Mula to the El Niño deposit was also discussed so that there is sufficient pressure to meet the growing demand in that area that provides coverage to the hamlet and the houses in the Balate garden.
.In the same way, the construction of a new drinking water reservoir was requested in the district of Fuente Librilla due to the problems generated by the current one and because it is not located at an altitude necessary for the water to reach the entire district with sufficient pressure.All these actions had already been sued on previous occasions, hence there has been a commitment on the part of the Commonwealth to review the projects of these actions and meet the demands with their own funds in case of not being able to avail themselves of the European Funds.
