The courtyard of the San Francisco Convent has been the place chosen for the presentation of the cultural, tourist and leisure activities planned in Mula for the coming weeks.The mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, along with the councilors of Tourism, Alejandra Martínez, Culture, Diego Boluda, Commerce and Crafts, Alicia Zapata, and Municipal Services, Vicente López, as well as Antonio Hidalgo as representative of Los Happys, have been those in charge of presenting a complete program, designed for all age groups and with all prevention measures to guarantee the safety of viewers and participants.The mayor of Mula highlighted the ambitious program in which various municipal areas had been involved and where the safety and well-being of the participants while the enjoyment of the Muleños were the main objectives.

"In Mula culture is safe, tourism is safe and that should be our purpose in every way," he stated, while highlighting that a great effort had been made to bring activities that would make them forget all the neighbors " for a while the situation we are going through due to the pandemic ”.The Tourism area has organized various guided tours that will bring the heritage and tourist wealth of the municipality closer to the participants.

Thus, visits to the Los Villaricos site have been planned on December 6, 13, 20 and 27, on the history of the Convent of San Francisco on Monday, December 7 at 5:00 p.m., route through the Churches on Sunday 20, route through the Historic Center of Mula on Saturday 26, route along the Path of Time on Sunday 27 and continues with the visit to the Muleñas districts, this time La Puebla de Mula on Saturday December 12, all to continue making the culture and highlights of the municipality.

In addition, two visits have been organized that will conclude with a wine tasting from the Muleña de Llano y Monte winery.These will take place on the 12th and 13th visit to the Los Villaricos site and tasting and on December 19th visit to the San Francisco Convent, walk through Mula and tasting.

All activities are free except those that include wine tasting, which will cost 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children.

Visits will have a limit of participants prior registration at the tourist office.The head of the Tourism area, Alejandra Martínez, highlighted the importance of continuing to bring cultural and tourist heritage closer to the residents of Mula, highlighting the value of resources and the rapprochement of the current and heritage history of the municipality.In the cultural aspect, comedy theatrical performances stand out on December 3 and 18 and for children on the 28th.

This Friday will take place the inauguration of the public lighting and the municipal Bethlehem.

From December 10 to 12, Spanish Film Week organized by the Cine-Club Segundo de Chomón, and on Thursday 17, awards ceremony of the Ciudad de Mula-Francisco Ros National Short Story Contest.On December 26 and 27, the Lope de Vega Theater will host a musical show by Los Happys, a performance renewed and adapted to the measures of the Covid-19 and where Antonio Hidalgo, highlighted, is an exciting project that he hopes to fill the afternoon with joy and music for the theater spectators.Among the cultural activities, the musical performances of the Muleña Musical Group stand out, with the Traditional Christmas Concert on December 20 and the Christmas Carols Recital on January 3.The Department of Commerce and Crafts organizes the now traditional Christmas Market that, on this occasion, will be held on December 20 and where artisans and all the shops of Mula that wish can go out to the streets to bring their most traditional products and Christmas to all Muleños.Juan Jesús Moreno continued to appeal to individual responsibility as the best way to deal with the virus and continue to reduce the incidence of cases in the municipality.
