The Office for the Protection of Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Culture has approved grants of 26,000 euros to the City of Mula for adaptation, and dissemination of all musealization Rock Art The Kite Mule.
The Coat of Milano, listed as World Heritage Site, is located in the vicinity of Bullas, in the Barranco de la Cueva, together with the right bank of the river Mula.
The archaeological site consists of two rock shelters in which paintings have been located and a late neolithic burial, which makes him one of the few who have kept the paintings together with remnants of habitat.
It is dated at an early date to 3235 BC
Having passed the ten years of inclusion in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin (1998), the City of Mula is a need to open to the public on site with the intention double social and education with the aim of bringing local people and foreign rock art in situ and local development, to transform the heritage resources in tourism resources.
The action in this site is intended to promote the conservation of a World Heritage site in Spain, contributing to better protect and promote the dissemination and knowledge of it.
The opening of the Milan would be a pioneering experience in the set of sites included in the UNESCO Declaration, which was inserted more than a thousand rock art sites, corresponding to six different regions (Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia , Valencia and Murcia).
This grant aid for the Project Plan for Conservation, Protection and Dissemination of World Heritage properties by 2010.
The cover of The Milano has been included also in the Cultural Route of Prehistoric Rock Art Roads with clearly rock the rest of Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Norway, among others.
