The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, have funded the construction of rural housing 'House Grandparents' under the County Development Programs Community Initiatives Leader.
Specifically, the total amount of the project was 249,700 euros, of which the private sector contributed 150,000 euros.
The rest has been supported by 75 percent under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), and 25 percent to equal parts by the Ministry and the Ministry.
This is a split apartments for nine people, located in the historic town of Mula housing.
The apartments, built with traditional materials and finishes of the area, are located on two floors and are equipped with heating and air conditioning.
The apartment on the ground floor is suitable for disabled people and has an indoor patio.
It has a lounge, kitchen, a double bedroom, a room with a single bed and a bathroom.
The other apartment, located on the first floor of the house also has a second bedroom and a bathroom.
The Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, noted the importance of such projects to "diversify the economy and improve the quality of life in rural areas," noting "increasing the supply of rural Lodging Region thanks to these community initiatives. "
The project, part of the Rural Development Programme for the Region of Murcia 2007-2013, has been run by the local action group Integral, Society for Rural Development and is included in the line of support for diversification into non-agricultural activities .
