The Government delegate in Mula has 21 projects for about 3 million financed by the Government of Spain (26/02/2009)

Will create 150 direct jobs and will boost local development

All projects have already been ratified by the Ministry of Public Administration

The City Council calls for tenders within one month

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes Diaz, presented this morning the 21 projects to be carried out in the municipality under the Local Investment Fund, which will involve a total investment of 2,932. 695.98 euros and the creation of 150 jobs.

González Tovar noted that these actions have been selected by the municipal government team due to their needs, while the Government of Spain has agreed to finance in full if it satisfies the requirement of creating jobs.

He highlighted that, after being approved 21 projects by the Government Delegation in Murcia at the time, all of them have already been ratified by the Ministry of Public Administration.

This means that once the City receives the MAP notification of approval, it must be put up for tender the works within a month.

On the other hand has also clarified that the Government of Spain, after receiving the initial report of the work which will identify the company that held him to the City of Mula paid 70 percent of the investment, while the remaining 30% will be transferred once the certification of the final work.

For its part, the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, presented the project to be carried out in the municipality.

Among these, he stressed that more than half of the nearly 3 million euros granted to Mula is intended to cover six works under the heading of "buildings and social facilities, health, funeral, educational, cultural and sporting events."

Among these six works include, with a budget of 999,456 euros, the construction of a multi-purpose building at the street fair, which will be located at the Municipal School of Music School Drum and Film Club Second Chomón " , and a market hall on the ground floor.

Cervantes said that "they also entail a significant investment expansion and reform of the municipal cemetery in which the expenditure of 305,776.60 euros will have over 6,000 square meters, where you can build some 2,000 new niches."

Another project will consist of the construction of new changing rooms and toilets in the complex "Mula Deportiva", which are intended to 305,140 euros '22.

The other three projects of that chapter are aimed at the adequacy of different public schools in the city and districts, with a combined budget of 137,649.24 euros.

Mula Mayor noted that economic size, the next chapter to highlight the works of "sustainable mobility and improving road safety", in registering six other projects, among them management and adequacy of street pedestrian routes Juan Antonio Perea (229,680 euros) and the construction of a roundabout at the junction of Pliego and Caravaca de la Cruz (204,999.98 euros)

Within this chapter, the remaining works under the construction of sidewalks from Source Librilla to Los Ojos (130,563.12 euros) and slope berms in the neighborhood of Pontarrón (49386.73), works of maintenance of rocks in Uptown ('14 36 614 euros) and recovery in the same area of berms (32,825.62 euros).

Four other projects approved by City Council Mula fall under the heading of "infrastructure facilities and basic services."

They have all attended or improved street lighting and carried out on the road Source Librilla to Los Ojos, Pontarrón neighborhoods, Fountain Head and uptown neighborhoods.

The budgets of these four works a total of 169,238.52 euros.

Diego Cervantes has also reported that the remaining five works correspond to the paragraphs of three "performances in public spaces or urban environments and / or industrial promotion, intervention for" removal of architectural barriers "and a performance in municipal heritage conservation and historical heritage. "

In the first section highlights the remodeling of City Hall Square where, with a budget of 175,137.36 euros, will address a number of improvements in it.

Finally, the mayor of Mula has clarified that the other projects to be undertaken are: adequacy of playground Yéchar, Plaza de San Juan in La Puebla de Mula, various local municipal and city districts, and of pedestrian routes, with the removal of architectural barriers in the environment of the garden Cigarralero ", all for a total of 156,228.46 euros.

Finally, Gonzalez Tovar stressed the guarantee of payment to contractors performing the work.

"The Government of Spain has established a maximum period of one month for payment of all invoices, which may be carried out and that municipalities will receive full funding from the central government and also most of the same be in your account before the start of each performance, "said the delegate of the Government.
