The Spanish Film Week XXI Mule pays tribute to Maria Luisa San Jose and Emma Penella (28/05/2009)

The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today and projected activities taking place in Mula occasion of the celebration of the twenty-first week of Spanish Cinema and National Short Film Competition XVI to be held from 31 May to 6 June and, on this occasion, he paid special tribute to the actress Maria Luisa San José, one of the muses of cinema of the seventies, and the now defunct Emma Penella.

Linked to the Film Week is the National Short Film Competition, which this year celebrates its sixteenth anniversary, and has over 150 papers in 35 mm format, of which 18 were selected to compete.

The prizes awarded in this contest are the Special Jury Prize, worth 4,000 euros, the Audience Award, with 2,000 euros, the prize Young, $ 1,000, and Epona award for best animated short, valued at 1,500 euros, and that gives Antares Productions.

Martinez, who was accompanied by the mayor of Mula, Diego Cervantes, president of Cine-Club de Mula Chomón Second, Martín del Toro, the author of "The Cinema in the Spanish education ', Pascual Vera, and the author Poster of the Week, Olivier Bervialle, said "the promotion of these activities, the emphasis in the development of an area that was not developed in Murcia, that is, the audiovisual area, which is one of the axes of the sector cultural industries. Programming

The opening of the Film Festival will take place on June 1, with the presentation of the publication 'The Cinema in the Spanish education', the work of Pascual Vera, who takes a look at how the cinema has influenced be in the form of the Spanish.

Throughout the week will screen a series of newly released movies in our country as well as films of María Luisa San José, Emma Penella, and films for children.

On Sunday May 31 will be issued 'Mentiras y Gordas', on Monday, June 1, 'The El Escorial Conspiracy', the 2nd, 'The backyard of my jail', day 3, 'At the end of the road' , 4, 'The Hangman', and 5, 'Broken Hugs'.

The closure will take place on Saturday 6 June with a gala that will guide the actor and comedian Javier Veiga in which the contest will award prizes for short films and will assess the work of Maria Luisa San Jose, among other activities.

On the red carpet will Mule, among others, Miguel Ángel Solá, Alicia Bogo, White Oteyza, Merce Llorens, María Luisa San José and Alberto Amarillo, invited by the organization as well as actors, directors and producers of films selected for competition.
